Looking
southeast across Underwood Road (1.3 miles off
the Julian Pike) the AFT heads out about one half
mile to it’s namesake. As the trail post
indicates, the first view (Ralph’s
Majestic Vista) is six tenths of a mile from
this point. The old jeep trail visible here doubles
as the AFT and after several hundred yards becomes
a single path leading out to a one-mile stretch
that boasts 5 of the AFT’s vistas.
Much of this part of the trail is characterized
by rocky terrain, some of which has been used
to build several series of stone
steps.
