Looking south from Mid State Trail

Here are two photos taken from the Mid State Trail on October 12, 2000 near Spruce Creek, PA. The top image is looking southwest from the top of Tussey Mountain as the trail reaches the end of the ridge before descending to Barree. About 20 miles straight off in the distance through the gap between Lock and Canoe Mountains is the Blair County Seat, Hollidaysburg.

The bottom image is looking more toward the south (to the left of the above view). The first peak is Short Mountain with Tussey continuing behind it and off to the left. To the east of this ridge lies Raystown Lake.
